Updos for Curly Hair

A couple of you told me that you’re looking for some updos for curly hair and black hair updos that are both protective hairstyles and were quick!

I used one of my LillaRose Flexi8 hair clips and made the simplest hair bun look pretty!

If you remember from a post a little while ago, I did several different updo hairstyles and down hairstyles with a couple of the different hair clips.

This company also sells hair sticks, which I will be purchasing very soon!

Sorry the pictures are a little rough, Bunny took them.

For braiding the hair you’ll need:

My little sister and me 🙂

As always, I started with clean, detangled, stretched hair.

Okay so this is a really easy, super fast hair style that I got several days out of getting tired of it. Look at the picture above so see how I put my dry, detangled hair in several small French braids. I had a total of SIX.

I actually tried to do Dutch braids but got my details all mixed up and ended up with French Braids, so either one will work. Whichever you’re more comfortable with will be perfect.

I parted a thin section out with my hands, clipped the rest of my hair out of the way, added a LITTLE bit of Royal Curl’s Curl Shaping Crème to each section, combed it through with a Denman, then braided it to the very end.

That’s it! Nothing special or too fancy.

Here’s my hair after removing the braids the next morning

I like French Braid out’s because they curl my hair with a larger, looser curl than two strand twists or regular braids do.

And here’s a pic of the side

Once the curls were in, I smoothed my hair back with my hands and clipped it up.

Well, there you have it!

A super-fast, super easy updo hairstyle just for you! Thank you for reading!
