I was asked to do a few short hairstyles for curly hair and this is the first one of three or four styles.
Now, I did this on my younger sister’s hair, which is a bit on the long side, but this style will also work very well on short natural hair.
This was the first time I used Curlformers and I LOVE the way this style turned out!
Bunny got her hair wet before I could take any good pics, so instead of freaking out like I really wanted to, I just pulled the top up into a curly ponytail and threw a flower in her hair
For this style you’ll need:
- Rat tail comb
- Wide tooth comb
- Hair moisturizer
- Curlformers or some other type of curlers
- Hair clips or ponytail holders to section hair
TIP! I started with clean, detangled hair and I recommend this for best results.Click here to learn how I prepare hair for my cornrow hairstyles.
We recently received a set of Curlformers (in the extra-long and wide size) but Bunny’s hair was in a two strand twist hairstyle (I forgot to post it and take pictures 🙁 sorry) so it was a few nights later before I finally sat her down to try them out.
Nothing too fancy, just half cornrows on a slant and I really love the way they turned out. Once I was down with the cornrows, I added Curlformers to the back and let her sleep in them, then removed them the next morning.
Overall, the hairstyle too less than an hour and a half and might just be our new fallback style because it’s super cute (in my opinion anyway) and fairly quick!
