Pompadour Hairstyle Tutorial

Today we are sharing a pompadour hairstyle tutorial with you all!

I learned how to do an updo not too long ago so you will definitely be seeing a lot of braided updo hairstyles in the future.

For those of you who are looking for cute curly wedding updos and wedding half updos, I think this would be perfect!

Enjoy it!

For braiding the hair you’ll need:

Products used:

As always, I started with clean, detangled, stretched hair.

Fancy smancy!!!

Step One:
After I had completely detangled B’s hair, I went ahead and parted out a circle section on the very top of her head. This is where the volume comes from so make this section as big or as small as you’d like.

Step Two:
I had my little sister lay down on the floor and I made the cornrows go up towards the circle that I had parted out. I tied the hair off with a black rubber band when I ran out of room to cornrow and switched to doing a two strand twist, twirling the hair around one finger to keep it from un-raveling.

Step Three:
I continued the cornrowing and two strand twisting process all the way around her head, making a bunch of twists on the top of her head and all the sides braided.

Step Four:
Finally, once I finished all the braiding, I finished off by completely twisting the top. I think we ended up with twelve twists in all, plus the twists from the cornrows, but do as many or as few as you want to! At least, I pinned all the hair up and left it at that!

And that was it!

I have been getting a lot of requests for more detailed posts, so I really hope you all enjoyed this one!
