Natural Curly Black Hair Style

Welcome back!

This is my latest natural curly black hair style and I’ve been dying to share it!

By now it’s quite clear that I am a HUGE fan of pompadour hairstyles and updo hairstyles!

This one has cornrows, two strand twists, and a bright flower to finish it all off.

For braiding the hair you’ll need:

Products used:

  • Honey Curls Coconut ‘n’ Honey No Poo Cleanser Review coming soon!
  • Honey Curls Honey Melody Deep Conditioner Review coming soon!
  • Honey Curls The Curly Cutie Moisturizer Review coming soon!
  • Honey Curls Hair Honey Oil Blend Review coming soon!
  • Honey Curls The Spritz & Style Detangler Review coming soon!

As always, I started with clean, detangled, stretched hair.

Great for hair of any length

Step By Step Instructions:

Step One:
Once B’s hair was completely tangle-free, I went ahead and parted it slightly off center. One side was much thicker than the other and the part was off towards the right, which was what I wanted. I then clipped one side out of the way and got ready to start braiding her hair.

Step Two:
This picture shows what her hair looked like when half of one of the halves were braided. This of this style as an off-centered mohawk. I cornrowed in a freestyle pattern and switched from a cornrow to a two strand twist when I ran out of room to braid.

Step Three:
Once all the cornrows and two strand twists were finished, I went ahead and braided them all the way up towards the front of the head. You can pin the hair in any fashion that you want, but I went with a twisted pompadour look!

This style is fabulous for the summer time when you want to get those curls UP! It also makes a great style for someone who likes those more edgy styles.

You can change this ‘do up each day with different bows or flowers, it’s up to you!
