This style allows you to make lots of different easy updos (and curly hair updos when you remove the two strand twists!) and can easily be accessorized!
This is also B’s holiday hair style and the hairdo that she asked to wear for this Thanksgiving!
If you enjoy it, let me know!
And this is how you make a statement!
For braiding the hair you’ll need:
You can also wear it down in a braided Mohawk if you'd like!
The first thing I did was part B’s hair into three different sections, two thicker chunks on the sides and one thinner part down the middle.
The parting is pretty important in this style. If you want lots of thickness, make the middle section super thick.
If you want the cornrows on the side to be the main feature (like we did!) then make the sides the thicker sections!
Once the parting was finished, I started free styling! I haven’t been challenged with a hard hair style design since B’s helicopter hairstyle and I really didn’t feel like it today so I just braided randomly.
After I ran out of room to cornrow, I added a rubber band and two strand twisted the hair to the end.
I repeated on both sides and finally filled the middle in with lots and lots of twists!
An updo hairstyle with bangs!
You can make the side cornrows as simple or as extravagant as you want! I was a little pressed for time so I didn’t go all out this time.
I used Beautiful Curls products and so far I liked them. I’ve used them in the past with so-so results, however, this time, they performed much better for me!
Full review coming after the holidays!
Don't forget to accessorize!
Two strand twists! My fav!
