Tell us a little about you! I have been natural for over 10 years. I started trying to grow it long a few years ago. After a bad color incident I grew my hair out to it's current length; it took me 5 years. I just really enjoy my natural hair and helping others appreciate the beauty of their kinks and coils. What goals would you like to reach with your hair? Honestly I'm pretty happy with my hair. My main goal right now is to maintain length and to recover from my most recent set back. I am pregnant and I've had some ups and downs that have impacted my hair during pregnancy. Did you transition? If so, how long? I only transitioned for about 6 months then I chopped my relaxer off. My hair doesn't grow that fast so I only had about 2 inches of hair when I cut it. Permalink -- click for full post "Mrs. Lala + Hairstyles for Black Women"
Tell us a little about you! My name is Vernetta and I've been natural 9.5 years. I chose to go natural after receiving a chemical burn the night of my senior prom. I knew I was through with perms forever. In 2002 there wasn't a movement or anything tips out there but I knew I was tired of perms. What goals would you like to reach with your hair? My goal is just to keep my hair healthy. Did you transition? If so, how long? I did the big chop on my 18th birthday. NO transitioning for me. NO regrets about cutting all of my hair off either. What is your hair routine like? I wash my hair once a week. I use Sulfur 8 because I have really bad dandruff. I also use Curly Beautiful shampoo and leave in conditioner once a week. I use an aloe hot oil treatment once a month. I use coconut grease on my scalp about twice a week. I moisturize often. I like SportAfros spray after a workout. Tell us a little about you! I am a stay at home mother of twins and I make inspirational jewelry! I have been natural 3+ years now. I love my 4z...I mean 4b hair! Lol. I am still looking for the right mix to keep it moisturized with all natural products. What goals would you like to reach with your hair? I would like to have beautiful and healthy hair like Naptural 85! You can see some of her videos here. Did you transition? If so, how long? I transitioned for about three months. I had kinky twists put in my hair, then after I took them out my friend cut the perm off and there I was with my TWA! Lol What is your hair routine like? I ACV rinse and deep conditioner every 1 or 2 weeks. Wash every one to two weeks. I apply the Shea butter crème and spray my hair every morning and night. Doing my best to twist it up at night....doesn't always happen though. I do have twins and my own business lol! I am going to get better at it with time and practice!
