For those of you who don’t know, this natural hair style is one of many African braid styles.
If you’re looking for cute hairstyles for kids that help show off length or stretch out curls, this style is definitely the way to go!

For braiding the hair you’ll need:
As always, I started with clean, detangled hair.
I began by washing Bunny’s hair with Mixed Chicks Sulfate Free Shampoo. I really liked this product. If you would like to read the full product review on the MC shampoo, check out the review right here.
After that I applied Mixed Chicks deep conditioner for hair and let that sit in for a few minutes before I detangled her hair. Love that one too! Review right here!

Lastly, I applied Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner and began the actual plaiting process!
I sectioned her hair into twelve different sections, three rows of four squares across.
I plan on removing one row of Ghana plaits a day (after they’ve dried and stretched her hair out of course!) and changing it into mini two strand twists.
How to video right here!
Plus you get a beautiful stretched hair when you remove the string!
