I proudly present my first ever flower girl hairstyle!
The lovely ladies at Diary of a Hair Princess were looking for a special updo that could be worn with halo and this is what I came up with.
I think this is the first time that I have ever absolutely hated the finished look.
Bunny likes it so we’re gonna keep it for a couple of days before changing the bun in the back.
Perhaps I’ll throw the loose hair into some curlformers or do a twist out. Who knows?
The problem I have with the hairstyle is that the bun seems to take over EVERYTHING because it’s so big. I will probably do this hairstyle again sometime, only I’d change the type of bun I did so it would hopefully be smaller.

For braiding the hair you’ll need:
The thing about this hairstyle is it’s easiest if you’re comfortable with free style braiding.
You can’t really part the hair in a couple different sections then fill it in with braids, but you have start on one side of the head and start cornrowing up towards the middle again and again and again.
Hopefully the picture above will give you an idea.
Summary: The idea is to cornrow from the edges, all the way back until you run out of room to cornrow and leave the ends free. Once you’ve braiding, pull it all back into a ponytail then use bobby pins to tuck and pin the hair into a bun.
