I began by sectioning her hair into six different sections. Starting in the back, I began finger detangling, pulling out any shed hair that I came across. After that, I ran some coconut oil through her hair, which really helps straighten curly hair.
STEP TWO:
Now her hair is fairly straight, but still a little tangled. Her hair is naked besides the oil. Now I'll add a little Suave Naturals conditioner (it doesn't matter which one you use) and use a wide tooth comb. Pictured left are the results so far.
STEP THREE:
Lastly, I will use a Denman brush and get the last tangles and shed hair out. The whole process took about half an hour and saved us time of re-wetting her hair and washing it when her hair was still clean but super tangled.
For curiosity sake, here's all the hair I removed using the Denman, my fingers, and a wide tooth comb.
It has been about three days since I last washed her hair, so anything more or less than this would something to be concerned about.
