Black Kids Hairstyles

Can you do more black kids hairstyles? And btw way, I am in LOVE with your website! There ain’t nothing else like it out there 😀

That’s a message that I got a few days ago.

Aww, you guys are the greatest. Pictures of African American kids hairstyles coming right up!

This page has pictures of kids hairstyles, natural hair tips, and more! (Plus I’ve been getting lots of requests for more black kids hairstyles so this was WAY overdo.)

As my younger sister continues to get older (ha ha, I told her this day would come!), I keep pushing her to push herself when it comes to caring for her naturally curly hair.

By no means is she ready to do cornrow styles or cornrow designs, but she is very capable of doing twist outs, braid outs, two strand twists, and rope twists, so that’s what we’re working on right now.

I love twists, don’t get me wrong, but I definitely like to add a few cornrows or flat twists to them just to add that little extra somethin’ somethin’!

Here’s a quick length check (11-21-11) before getting on to the hairstyle!

For braiding the hair you’ll need:

As always, I started with clean, detangled, stretched hair.

WARNING! Fuzzy hair alert! I took the pictures of the hair style days after if first went in!

So clearly she didn’t do all of this hair style by herself, but she did do the rope twists that she could easily reach.

It’s a start, right?

All I did was part her hair from ear to ear, free style cornrow in the front with rope twists in the back. As a matter of fact, I did the very same hairstyle exact a lot better right here.

Thanks for reading and enjoy these pictures!
