I love all the black hair designs that I’ve seen on other peoples websites and blogs and even the styles that I’ve done on my little sister’s hair, so I decided to really go all out on my next style.
I generally just wear half cornrows, ponytails, buns, or box braids. And sure, those are all really nice, but I absolutely LOVE this new ‘do.
I sometimes do cornrow designs on curly hair, but this time I did it on blow dried hair. I plan to change up the loose half after a few days.
Maybe I’ll do a twist out for a couple days, then a braid out, then a bantu knot out, then maybe a wash and go. Maybe not in that order, but I definitely wanna try out a few different ways to wear the loose hair!

And the left side
To begin this hairstyle, I parted my hair in half, from the top of my head down to the crown (I think that’s what it’s called) of my neck.
I did flat twists on myself instead of cornrows because I find it a little bit easier, but if you wanna do a cornrow hairstyle instead I say go for it!
I free styled, flat twisting in front first and working my way backwards. I took two or three breaks total.
TIP! I used two mirrors so I could see the front and back of my hair at the same time.
I stood in front of the large five-by-five foot tall mirror in my bathroom after I’d placed a full length mirror behind me. And make sure that you have good lighting!
Overall I say have fun with your placement of flat twists and your black hair designs in general.
Please don’t get discouraged if it takes longer than you think it should or if/when your arms start to tire.
It could take several hours, sure, but think about the week or two of pretty hair that will follow!
Don’t forget to “like” the style here!
