African American Men Hair

Here’s one for the an African American men hair style category.

My little brother is only thirteen, but he insisted that it’s a mens curly hairstyle and not a boy’s cornrow design 🙂

Either way, it’s been a long time since I shared any of the male hair styles that I’ve done, so here ya go!

….No idea what he’s doing

For braiding the hair you’ll need:

And a picture of the back

As always, I started with clean, detangled, wet hair.

Here is the first step!

Okay so my little brothers hair is still really short (he plans on growing it out really long) but he loves cornrows so I braid his hair as much as I can. (It’s actually my mission to get my dad to grow his hair out too but no such luck so far :-D).

This was a really easy hair style. The break down of this cornrow design (if you can call it that) is two cornrows in the front sort of like a headband (I really don’t know else to call it) and straight cornrows in the back.

His hair is a lot different than Bunny’s, so I need more practice before I can get his braids to look as neat as hers. Of course, the hair length plays a huge part in it, too.

I can’t wait until his hair is about shoulder length, because I will be able to do spider designs and criss crosses and “X” cornrows and lots of other cool designs.

At the half way point!

Thank you so much for reading. I really appreciate all the love and support that you all have been sharing! Many more African American men hair styles to come!

Don’t forget to “like” the style here

Sharing is caring!
